The launch of MG Gloster looks imminent as the latest images of the new full-size luxury SUV have appeared on social media platforms.
The company recently launched the ZS SUV which was also teased a few weeks prior to the announcement.
MG, otherwise named Morris Garages, is a contingent of the Chinese Automaker known as SAIC.
MG Gloster is a proper ‘body-on-frame’ SUV that comes equipped with a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder petrol engine that makes 211 horsepower and 350 Newton/meters of torque and can be mated to a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission.
In terms of exterior styling, the vehicle looks like a fairly standard modern-day SUV with a boxy yet modern body style, a few cuts and creases about the place, sleek headlight and taillight design, sharp-looking rims, and a high center of gravity. The Gloster has a range of body-color schemes as well as numerous choices of rims to choose from.
The vehicle can be had with an 8 seat or a 7 seat option. The SUV’s interior is greatly reminiscent of any BMW from the modern era, with a floating touch-screen in the center, diamond-shaped AC vents, surrounded in chrome trim, leather seats with diamond stitching, leather dash, a sporty, flat-bottom steering wheel, and the diamond-shaped speedometer and tachometer with an LCD based information screen in the center.
The car is loaded with features such as front collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic park assist, hill start assist and descent control, power-tailgate, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, 6 airbags among many other features.
Since the vehicle is a full-sized 7-8 seater luxury SUV, it is likely to compete against the likes of Toyota Fortuner in the local market, which implies that it is likely to be priced between Rs. 7.5 million and 9.5 million.
